The Mercedes-Benz G-Class--otherwise known as the G-wagen or Gelandewagen--is unique in the market as a serious, truck-like mountain goat. While not always the most practical for family needs, the G has toughness for the trail, a comfortable enough ride for the freeway and enough exclusivity to hold its own at the country club. Having been adapted by militaries around the world since the 1980s, the G-Wagon has tremendous all-road tough-truck credibility as well.
